Paul doesn’t know about our service yet. He creates his badges as he travels, with his laptop, with Word and Excel.

Paul starts the tour in his hometown.

He has his guest list ready, but he doesn’t know how to do a mail merge, so he googles it and starts figuring it out.

After a few tries he understand how it works and has a Word document ready to print.

He buys 500 name tags, he thinks it will be enough Avery stickers for the entire tour.

He prints the stickers at the office and is ready for his event.

He uploads his guest list to our site, works on the template he will use for the whole tour and buys the name badges, they will arrive 2 days later at the venue. Free shipping included.

He also orders the badges for the Philadelphia event.

Paul arrives at his hotel, downloads the most up-to-date list and goes downstairs to the hotel’s office center only to find out the printer isn’t working!

He takes a quick taxi to the nearest Kinkos. There’s only few people in line, good.

He waits for his turn, he gives the document and waits for the badges to be printed.

Paul takes another taxi back to the hotel and has some dinner.

Dave arrives at the same hotel as Paul, his badges were delivered this morning via FedEx and are waiting for him at the front desk.

He goes to his room, opens his laptop, uses the “past design” option in ConferenceBadge and orders the badges for both Washington and Virginia.

He works on his presentation before going to dinner.

This time Paul is lucky, the printer at this hotel is working, but they only offer prints in black ink… you gotta work with you’ve got… or not.

Another day in the grind. Paul is starting to run low on Avery labels, but he doesn’t have time to do a quick run to Staples, so he just prints this city’s badges and heads to the event.

Once again Dave picks up the badges at the front desk and since he has 15 minutes to spare he setups up the badges for the rest of the tour: Raleigh, Charlotte and Atlanta.

He also decides to add vCard QR codes so that his customers can do lead-retrieval amongs them, that takes 10 seconds.

He places the 3 remaining orders and heads to the event.
Raleigh - 80 badges

Paul can no longer delay it, he has to buy more stickers, his events are more successful than he thought they would and now he’s low on inventory.

He takes a cab a goes to the closest Staples. Since he’s there he prints everything on the spot, then gets back to the hotel.

Lugging around hundreds of stickers is not fun, but at least he won’t run out of inventory again. He checks in at the hotel and before going up to his room he prints his badges.

Badges whereabouts? Hotel’s front desk, of course.

Who knew name badge making while traveling would be so simple.

Paul sure is glad this printing nightmare is over. For this 7-day-7-city tour he admits his name badge creation process is not the best. He spent almost 3.5 hours trying to print badges… This is time he could’ve used to prepare more for his workshops or rest at the hotel, not to mention money wasted in taxis and unnecessary worry.

Paul should contact Dave.

For this 7-day-7-city-830-badge-tour Dave spent less than 50 minutes working on name badges.

He didn’t pay a dime in shipping nor did he struggle with printers, taxis or mail-merging.

Dave is a winner, at least in our book.
